Workforce Analytics – What’s that and what are we building?

The presentation discusses the increased need for Workforce Analytics not only for operational effectiveness but also to drive margins and competitive advantage with the use of advanced predictive modelling that has gained traction in the recent past. The area is vast and evolving and so does not have a distinctive methodology like the traditional ERPs. Most companies are struggling in choosing the right technology and securing the funds to implement solutions that notionally would give magical actionable insights. Such approach may solve some issues, but very likely will lose its sustained value overtime in providing comprehensive business decision making ability. The key to success is to build contextual algorithmic based data science capabilities employing a suit of competencies, technologies and business processes. Most CHROs and CEOs have been open to such thoughts but in the absence of a working model, their support to this initiative has been limited. Some light will be shown to gain support and appropriate sponsorship so as be able to march forward into this remarkable new journey.
